What is Curve Finance

Introduction to Curve Finance

Curve Finance is a decentralized exchange for trading cryptocurrency that focuses on efficient stablecoin trading. Curve’s focus on stablecoins allows investors to avoid more volatile crypto assets.

Curve Finance is also an automated market maker (AMM) that maintains low fees and slippage through the use of liquidity pools.

The main difference between Curve and other AMMs, like Uniswap, is that Curve focuses on stable assets. Curve offers a large variety of stablecoins including DAI, USDT, BUSD and TUSD.

Besides swapping stablecoins in liquidity pools integrated with Ethereum smart contracts, Curve also allows the swapping of a handful of other tokens, namely wBTC, reBTC or pBTC. Anyone can provide their tokens to multiple liquidity pools to earn rewards.

As a scientist and physicist, he worked on research related to quantum computing and cryptography and earned a PhD in Physics at the Swinburne University of Technology.

The Curve Team also include two other developers, Angel Angelov and Ben Hauser, and three community managers.
